Fresh Claude Code releases are a decent leading indicator of where the ecosystem is heading. The five verified plugins below all shipped commits in the last two weeks, and each one is actively used by enough people to matter. Ranked by activity, not raw stars.
1. superpowers — Anthropic (Obra)
The flagship. Last commit: 3 days ago. 162,164 stars. Ships 14 skills focused on engineering discipline — systematic debugging, plan writing and execution, parallel agent dispatching, code review, worktree isolation. The most recent updates tightened the plan-execution loop and improved the parallel-agents handoff protocol.
What's new: smoother subagent coordination, cleaner plan-execution checkpoints.
2. myclaude — third-party, verified
Last commit: 10 days ago. 2,606 stars. 14 skills. Less prescriptive than superpowers, more utility-focused. The recent release broadened the test-cases skill to handle more function signatures and improved the omo helper.
What's new: expanded test-cases generator, omo tweaks.
3. cli — community
Last commit: 3 days ago. 321 stars. 10 skills focused on command-line interop — web scraping with firecrawl-download, file munging, CLI automation. Quietly one of the most useful plugins for anyone doing ops-adjacent Claude work.
What's new: firecrawl-download stability fixes.
4. higgsfield-seedance2-jineng
Last commit: 10 days ago. 236 stars. 15 skills around video prompt engineering — comic-to-video, animated comics, Seedance 2 workflows. Niche but deep; if you're producing short-form video from static sources this is the plugin to watch.
What's new: Seedance 2 prompt formatting.
5. humanizer-skill — small-but-useful
Last commit: 2 days ago. 6 stars. A single skill that strips AI-writing tells from drafts. Small plugin, but shipping this week, and it does one thing well. Good candidate for a quick install while the larger humanizer plugin (14,689 stars) remains the fuller option.
What's new: initial public release is still maturing — keep an eye on it.
How this list was built
Filtered to verified plugins, last commit within 14 days, deduplicated to one entry per plugin regardless of how many skills it bundles. Sort is by commit recency first, then plugin-level stars. The filter excludes anything we can't verify — lots of cool unverified plugins exist, but this list is for things that passed the audit.
We run this pipeline weekly; next week's shortlist will look different. If you want the raw data, every skill page shows its last_commit_at and star history.
